Percy Lavon Julian was a chemist who pioneered medicinal drugs from plants. I paid tribute to his work in this motion graphic. The figure and bean are made of paper and acrylic paint while the background is colored with ink and pencil. I used stop motion techniques to created the movement in the jointed figure.
Melt My Eyes
The Lights are Bright at the Agora and this poster was created to promote Denzel Curry’s performance. The project began with sketches and a multimedia exploration of the figure used. With accompanying Instagram post.
The work was made to accompany an article about being proactive in caring for your own mental health. It is made entirely with traditional materials. I used tempera paint, watercolor, and ink.
Weary blues is a poem, by Langston Hughes, about the struggle and desire for acceptance. I created this cover in Illustrator by writing out the hand done type and images and making them vector objects
